Clydebank driver arrested for alleged drug driving and false details
A 26-year-old driver was arrested in Clydebank after being stopped by Police Scotland’s Dumbarton Road Policing team. Officers initially pulled over a Ford Transit on Mountblow Road because the vehicle’s MOT had expired.
Following the stop, the driver allegedly provided false details to officers and failed a roadside drug wipe test, which reportedly returned a positive result for cannabis. The driver was taken into custody and faces several alleged offences, including driving without a licence or insurance, attempting to pervert the course of justice, driving without an MOT, and drug driving, pending results regarding the prescribed limit. The vehicle involved was seized by police.
