CMA celebrates 25 years with Cielito Lindo dance spectacle

The Instituto para la Cultura del Municipio de Juárez (IPACULT) hosted the “Cielito Lindo” dance spectacle at the Centro Municipal de las Artes (CMA) to celebrate the institution's 25th anniversary and Mexican patriotic festivities.

Performed by the “México, Fiesta y Tradición” dance company under the direction of Lilia Ruvalcaba and Carlos Guerrero, the show featured various national folklore expressions. Performances included dances inspired by “La leyenda de La Pascualita” and traditional vignettes from Chihuahua and Jalisco.

The company consists of students, alumni, and community members of various ages trained in contemporary dance, Spanish zapateado, and Mexican folklore. Ogla Liset Olivas, Director General of IPACULT, emphasized the importance of providing cultural spaces to help younger generations value Mexican identity and heritage.
