CMA CGM resumes limited shipping services to Cuba
Cuban Vice Prime Minister Óscar Pérez-Oliva Fraga confirmed that the French shipping company CMA CGM has resumed services to Cuba. These operations are currently limited to the transport of food, medicines, and medical supplies.
This admission clarifies previous claims by the Cuban government regarding the total suspension of services by the carrier. While essential goods are moving, Pérez-Oliva noted that components for renewable energy projects and other contracted food supplies have failed to reach the island, citing pressure and threats from the United States as the cause for these logistical failures.
