CMA Entertainer of the Year: Female superstars yet to win

CMA Awards Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year Lainey Wilson female country artists

The Country Music Association's Entertainer of the Year award remains a significant milestone for female artists. While ten women have won the honor in CMA history, including recent winners Lainey Wilson in 2023 and 2025, several prominent female superstars have yet to secure the top prize.

Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood have both received six nominations for the award without winning. Lambert holds 14 total CMA wins from 70 nominations, while Underwood has seven wins from 40 nominations. Other notable artists who have not won the category include Faith Hill, who has one nomination, and Martina McBride, who never received a nomination for the award.

The 2026 CMA Awards are set to take place on November 18 at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena, with Lainey Wilson serving as the host.
