CMA Media acquires RMC Sport and launches CMA Sport

CMA Media, the media arm of Rodolphe Saadé’s CMA CGM, has finalized the acquisition of RMC Sport from Altice. This move follows the group’s 2024 acquisition of BFMTV, RMC, and RMC Story.

To spearhead its expansion into the sports sector, the group has launched a new entity called CMA Sport. The new division will focus on three core pillars: broadcasting, production, and event management. RMC Sport will serve as the foundation for the group’s broadcasting ambitions, continuing to provide coverage for the UFC and various combat sports, while the group seeks to acquire additional sports rights.

CMA Sport intends to offer production services to leagues, federations, and clubs, and aims to eventually organize its own sporting events and properties. RMC Sport’s distribution is expanding to include Canal+, Orange, Free, and Bouygues Telecom, alongside existing availability on RMCsport.tv and SFR.
