Cámara Nacional de Comercio honors Chihuahua merchants on Merchant Day

The Cámara Nacional de Comercio (Canaco) marked the annual Día del Comerciante in Chihuahua with a ceremony that recognized around 100 merchants for their long‑term dedication and contribution to the local economy. The event was led by Canaco president Alejandro Lazzaroto Rodríguez and attended by state officials including Ulises Fernández, secretary of Innovation and Economic Development, Edibray Gómez, secretary of Tourism, and José Jordán, director of Economic Development.

Lazzaroto highlighted that Chihuahua hosts roughly 36,000 businesses, emphasizing the sector’s role in generating jobs and supporting families. Several companies received awards, such as Salón Anitas, Pino Burger, Keers Viajes and Innovación Culinaria Industrial, while the editorial section honored Rafael Ochoa for 30 years of service. Organizers stressed that a vibrant commercial sector is essential for the city’s growth and stability.
