CME Group launches E-nano futures for smaller contract sizes
CME Group has expanded its range of index futures with the introduction of E-nano contracts, which are one-tenth the size of Micro E-mini contracts. Launched on August 24, 2026, these new products cover the S&P 500, Nasdaq-100, Russell 2000, and Dow Jones Industrial Average.
For example, an E-nano S&P 500 contract moves $0.50 per index point. At an index level of 7,000, a single contract represents approximately $3,500 of stock exposure, compared to $35,000 for a Micro E-mini and $350,000 for a standard E-mini.
CME Group developed these smaller contracts to address the increasing notional value of major indexes. As indexes reach record highs, even Micro contracts have become significant capital commitments for smaller accounts. The E-nano family provides more granular control for retail traders and experienced investors seeking to right-size their market exposure.
