CMEI Lúcia Helena hosts lecture to combat violence against women

The Lúcia Helena de Campos Municipal Early Childhood Education Center (CMEI) hosted an awareness lecture focused on combating violence against women. Conducted by the Military Police's Maria da Penha Patrol, the event aimed to educate the school community, including parents and educators, on the various forms of violence defined by the Maria da Penha Law, such as psychological, moral, patrimonial, and sexual abuse.

Speakers Major Raissa and Sergeant Wenilson provided essential information to help participants identify signs of abusive relationships and understand legal protection mechanisms and reporting channels. The initiative was part of the 'Agosto Lilás' campaign and the 'Espaço de Saberes' training program. School director Nelma Neres emphasized that education is a vital tool for building a safer society and noted the importance of the partnership with the Military Police in strengthening support networks to prevent domestic violence in Mato Grosso.
