CMLL hosts all-women event and announces Amazonas Grand Prix replacement

CMLL recently held its second annual all-women event, featuring talent from various international promotions including AEW, NJPW, and STARDOM. In the main event, Olympia defeated Skadi to become the 2026 Amazon’s Universal Champion.

Other notable match results included Kira defeating Hera via armbar, and Momo Watanabe securing a pin against Zeuxis. Lluvia and India Sioux also earned a victory against Miyu Amasaki and AZM. In a high-profile tag match, Britt Baker D.M.D. teamed with Persephone against Thunder Rosa and Tessa Blanchard.

In preparation for the upcoming Amazonas Grand Prix tournament on October 23 at Arena Mexico, CMLL announced that AEW's Marina Shafir will replace Shotzi Blackheart. Blackheart withdrew from the tournament following the death of her brother. Shafir, who will represent Moldova, joins other AEW representatives including Megan Bayne, Queen Aminata, and Harley Cameron in the international contingent.
