CMLL kicks off 93rd Anniversary celebrations with major matches

Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) has begun its promotional events leading up to the 93rd Anniversary show. On August 14, 2026, a major function at Arena México drew over 16,000 fans, featuring high-profile matches including Averno vs. Místico, Zandokar Jr. vs. Star Jr., and Dragón Rojo Jr. vs. Bárbaro Cavernario.

In the women's division, CMLL World Champion Persephone and Reina Isis faced Tessa Blanchard and Johnnie Robbie. The event also showcased rising talent such as Blue Shark and the Calavera Junior siblings.

As part of the buildup, Arena Puebla will host a gala event on August 17, 2026. This function will feature matchups such as Templario vs. Último Guerrero and a tag team match between Star Jr. and Dragón Rojo Jr. against Zandokan Jr. and Bárbaro Cavernario, serving as a direct prelude to the anniversary celebrations on September 18.
