CMOC Brasil opens training program for women in mining
CMOC Brasil, through Mineração Riacho dos Machados, has opened applications for the second edition of its ‘Elas no Volante’ program. Running from October 5 to October 16, the initiative aims to provide technical training and expand professional opportunities for women in strategic areas of the mineral sector.
The program offers 20 vacancies specifically for residents of Porteirinha and Riacho dos Machados. Requirements include being at least 21 years old, holding a Category B driver's license for at least two years (or Category D or E), and having no serious traffic violations in the last 12 months.
Following the first edition, which saw 36 participants complete training in heavy truck operation, nine women were hired by Mineração Riacho dos Machados. The program combines technical knowledge with personal and professional development to facilitate entry into the mining workforce.
