Cmolik Foundation Awards $60,000 Scholarship to Six Surrey Graduates

The Cmolik Foundation announced a $60,000 scholarship program for six recent high‑school graduates from Surrey, British Columbia. The awards recognize students who have overcome personal adversity while achieving strong academic results. Recipients will receive financial support for post‑secondary studies, mentorship, professional opportunities and access to a network of alumni.

Among the scholars, Vaishnavi Verma from Johnston Heights Secondary will attend the University of Toronto to study Life Sciences, citing a desire to address mental‑health challenges. Rhea Kahlon from Enver Creek Secondary plans to pursue a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of British Columbia, aiming toward a career in investment banking and leadership of a nonprofit housing children with autism. The foundation, established in 2008, offers additional programs such as field trips, summer camps and mentorship to support youth across British Columbia.
