Cần Thơ to auction exploitation rights for Hồ Nước Ngọt cultural park

The People's Committee of Soc Trăng Ward in Cần Thơ will take over the 20‑hectare Hồ Nước Ngọt cultural area, known locally as the “Đà Lạt of the West,” from the city’s Investment Promotion Center. After completing an inventory of existing structures, assets, trees and water bodies, the committee will repair unsafe sections, strengthen environmental protection and prepare the site for public use.

Following a decision announced on 31 July by Deputy Party Secretary Trần Văn Huyến, the ward will organise an auction to grant exploitation rights to a qualified investor. The aim is to develop tourism, cultural, sports and exhibition activities while preserving the park’s landscape and community space.
