CNA Costruzioni president calls for urban regeneration and climate resilience

Riccardo Roccati, national president of CNA Costruzioni, has identified several critical challenges facing the construction sector, including ecological transition, climate adaptation, security, and the right to housing. He emphasized that extreme weather events require a strategy beyond simple emission reductions, focusing instead on urban regeneration, infrastructure maintenance, and preventing hydrogeological instability.

Roccati suggested that the 'Piano Casa' could serve as an industrial policy to involve small and medium-sized enterprises in the requalification of public and private assets. He called for a stable system of ordinary tax bonuses to replace extraordinary incentives, alongside multi-year public works programming. Additionally, he highlighted the need for investment in digital skills, such as BIM and robotics, and better training to attract young workers to the industry.
