CNA Modena warns of fire maintenance technician shortages

CNA Modena has issued an alert regarding the upcoming September 25 deadline established by the ‘Decreto Controlli’ for the qualification of fire prevention maintenance technicians. Many technicians face the risk of being unable to continue working despite having correctly initiated the qualification process and submitted their exam applications on time.

Delays in organizing and conducting exam sessions have created a critical situation where operators who have met all legal obligations remain waiting for summons. Consequently, CNA has requested urgent intervention from Undersecretary of the Interior, Emanuele Prisco. The association is seeking protection for technicians who applied before the deadline, allowing them to continue their activities until their exams are officially conducted.

A sudden reduction in authorized technicians could cause significant difficulties for businesses, public administrations, and private entities responsible for maintaining fire safety systems and ensuring regulatory compliance.
