Cnac launches national consultation for Venezuela's film industry plan

The Centro Nacional Autónomo de Cinematografía (Cnac) has launched a national public consultation to develop the National Cinematography Plan. This strategic roadmap aims to establish audiovisual sector priorities for the next five years.

The consultation process, running from October 14 to November 14, utilizes digital forms as well as virtual and in-person workshops. The proposed plan focuses on eight key areas, including national production and co-production, international projection, distribution, exhibition, and territorial development of film activities.

Additional objectives include audiovisual training, preservation of film heritage, financial sustainability for Cnac, labor rights, social protection for workers, and cultural diversity. The initiative seeks to modernize the industry in response to technological and economic shifts, such as the rise of digital platforms and new post-production dynamics.
