Romania implements widespread public sector recruitment and health measures
Romania is seeing widespread recruitment and administrative changes across several public sectors. The National Health Insurance House (CNAS) has launched a competition to fill 20 general director positions in various counties, including Brăila, Dolj, and Prahova, as part of an effort to professionalize management through objective testing.
In the education sector, school inspectorates are organizing large-scale competitions for director and deputy director roles, with many new leaders expected to take office by 2027. Additionally, various local institutions in Caracal and hospitals in Iași are seeking staff for roles in social assistance, nursing, and administration.
Health concerns have also emerged, including a reported food poisoning incident involving 13 people at a festival in Arefu, and a Hepatitis A outbreak in Alba Iulia affecting several children. In Tulcea, authorities have restricted the transport of sheep and goats for 30 days following outbreaks of sheep and goat pox.
