CNB Ecuador ends partnership with Miss Grand International

The Concurso Nacional de Belleza (CNB Ecuador) has announced the end of its seven-year collaboration with Miss Grand International. In a statement released on October 23, 2026, the organization cited “publicly known circumstances related to some of our licenses” as the reason for the decision, though no further specifics were provided.

During the partnership, Ecuadorian representatives achieved several notable placements, including Andrea Aguilera as first finalist in 2021 and Shyare Andrade as second finalist in 2026. Other highlights included national costume awards for Mara Topic in 2019 and María José Vera in 2024, as well as Samantha Queneditt reaching the Top 22 in 2025.
