CNBB begins national seminar for 2027 Fraternity Campaign
The National Seminar for the 2027 Fraternity Campaign (CF 2027) has commenced in Brasília, focusing on the theme 'Fraternity and the care of children'. The event, which runs until Sunday, brings together pastoral agents and representatives from various ecclesiastical movements and organizations.
Dom Ricardo Hoepers, the auxiliary bishop of Brasília and Secretary-General of the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil (CNBB), opened the seminar by emphasizing that the initiative is a collective mission. He stated that the care of children is a vital responsibility for the Church, rather than a peripheral issue.
During his address, Dom Ricardo outlined four dimensions of conversion necessary for this mission: gaze, relations, bonds, and processes. He advocated for recognizing children as individuals with inherent dignity and rights, and called for the creation of safe environments within families and communities to prevent harm.
