CNBB reports loss of access to official X account

The National Confederation of Bishops of Brazil (CNBB) reported on September 25, 2026, that it is experiencing difficulties accessing its official account on the social media platform X (@cnbbnacional). The organization stated that it has contacted X support in Brazil and has already submitted the requested documentation regarding account ownership and management to recover access.

While the situation is being resolved, the CNBB advised the public to use its other official communication channels, including its website, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and LinkedIn.

The access restriction follows recent statements by CNBB bishops regarding the 2026 elections. Specifically, bishops from the North 1 Regional (Amazonas and Roraima) recently called for conscious voter participation, emphasizing the importance of candidates committed to environmental preservation and the protection of vulnerable groups.
