Cüneyt Özdemir denies claims regarding Eskişehir political figures

Journalist Cüneyt Özdemir has denied claims that his recent comments regarding a political figure in Brussels referred to the AK Party Eskişehir Provincial Chairman, Gürhan Albayrak. Özdemir had previously shared a conversation with a businessman in Belgium where a comment was made suggesting the AK Party lacked influence in a specific province, leading to intense speculation in the Eskişehir media.

In response to the controversy, Burçin Acar, General Secretary of the Eskişehir Development Platform and AK Party Deputy Provincial Chair, clarified that the delegation's visit to Brussels was intended to promote Eskişehir’s economic and social potential rather than for political purposes. Acar stated that neither she nor Albayrak made the controversial remarks mentioned by Özdemir and expressed frustration that their efforts to promote the city's production power were being overshadowed by rumors.
