CNL launches Catalan language promotion initiatives in L’Hospitalet and Reus

The Centre de Normalització Lingüística (CNL) is launching several initiatives to promote the use of the Catalan language and celebrate linguistic diversity in Catalonia.

In L’Hospitalet, the CNL has introduced the ‘Xarxa per la Llengua’ (Language Network) campaign. This initiative aims to increase the daily use of Catalan across various urban spaces by involving local businesses, institutions, schools, and individuals. The project is part of a national pact to activate Catalan usage throughout the region and will be officially presented on October 27.

In Reus, the CNL is participating in the Correllengua program. Activities include a talk by activist Istar Montull comparing Catalan and Amazigh languages, as well as a ‘Marxa per la Llengua’ (March for the Language) on October 24. The program also features storytelling sessions, Scrabble competitions, and community events designed to foster cultural exchange and linguistic awareness.
