CNN Brasil launches ‘Direito Delas’ to educate women on legal rights

CNN Brasil has launched ‘Direito Delas’, a multi-platform public utility project designed to explain women's legal rights in an accessible manner. The initiative includes a series of 49 articles published on the CNN Brasil website and a weekly video segment titled ‘Calma que Tem Lei’ for social media platforms including YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.

The project covers various aspects of life, including reproductive health, maternity, financial autonomy, and protection against violence. Specific legal guarantees highlighted include the right to free reconstructive plastic surgery through the SUS for victims of violence under Law No. 13.239/2015, and priority service at the National Employment System (Sine) for women in situations of domestic violence, which includes a 10% reservation of job vacancies under Law No. 14.542/2023.
