CNN-News18 debuts Raw Report news program anchored by Shawan Sen

CNN-News18 launched a new daily news programme called Raw Report on 3 August. The show airs on weekdays at 12 pm and 10 pm across television, connected TV and YouTube. It combines live reporting with in‑depth analysis, featuring exclusive stories, on‑ground coverage and data‑driven graphics.

The 12 pm edition focuses on the day’s top story, using field reporting, visuals and graphics to explain developments as they unfold. The 10 pm edition provides a comprehensive roundup of national and international news, along with analysis of broader impact. Each episode also highlights a major newsmaker of the day and includes at least one exclusive news break.

Shawan Sen has joined CNN-News18 as Executive Editor – Enterprise & Special Investigations, marking his second stint with the network after previously serving as senior correspondent at CNN‑IBN (2012‑2016) and working for Republic TV, The Times of India, The Indian Express and Times Network. Editorial Affairs Director Rahul Shivshankar said the launch reflects the channel’s focus on original reporting, enterprise journalism and meaningful analysis, while Sen described the programme as designed to deliver verified information and cut through the noise.
