CNPP pension contribution records can be verified via local pension houses

Individuals in Romania who notice that their work seniority or contribution history in their National House of Public Pensions (CNPP) online account stops at a certain month can take steps to verify and correct these records. A discrepancy in the digital account does not automatically mean that work periods were lost or that an employer failed to pay contributions.

For employment periods after April 1, 2001, the CNPP records contribution stages based on nominal declarations regarding insurance and payment obligations submitted by employers. If a user identifies a gap, they can request an official certificate from their local pension house to confirm the contribution stage. This request can be submitted via email (with a copy of an identity document), by mail, or in person.

To facilitate verification, individuals should note the last month displayed, the first missing month, the period of continued activity, the employer's name, and whether the employment was uninterrupted. Discrepancies can be corrected through rectifying declarations or by updating the pension house records.
