CNSS outlines mandatory social security obligations for employers

The Caisse Nationale de Sécurité Sociale (CNSS) has issued a reminder regarding the legal obligations of employers to ensure workers can access their social rights. Employers must affiliate every new employee with the CNSS within eight days of hiring. This process is essential for securing family benefits, professional risk coverage, and retirement rights.

In addition to initial affiliation, employers are required to submit quarterly wage declarations (DTS) to update insured persons' rights and determine required contributions. These regulations apply to all business structures regardless of size or sector, including domestic workers such as nannies, drivers, and gardeners.

Furthermore, employers must report any workplace accidents or professional illnesses to the CNSS within 48 hours to facilitate immediate coverage and benefits for the affected worker.
