CNT Tech hosts Blue Market Connect Day linking marine startups with Korean retailers
CNT Tech organized the ‘2026 Unicorn Bay Blue Market Connect Day’ on 4 April in Seoul’s Tipstown S6, supported by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and the Korea Institute of Marine Science & Technology Promotion (KIMST). Around 50 participants, including representatives from major retail chains Lotte Mart, CJ Freshway, Our Home and GS Retail, as well as 13 marine and fisheries startups and research institutions, attended.
The event featured a panel discussion on challenges in the marine‑fisheries sector, one‑on‑one business consultations, networking, and the signing of cooperation agreements. Attendees emphasized the need for public test‑beds, joint financing mechanisms and corporate distribution channels to reduce proof‑of‑concept costs and accelerate market entry for startups. CNT Tech’s head, Choi Hyun‑sun, pledged continued support to turn the networking into tangible sales, field trials and joint projects.
