Influencer and speaker Cíntia Chagas has sparked discussion on social media by defending the status of being divorced. Responding to a follower who expressed shame regarding her divorce at age 30, Chagas stated that being divorced is “chique, chiquíssimo” (very chic) and a reason for pride rather than embarrassment.

Chagas described the status as a sign of independence and maturity, suggesting that a divorced woman has moved past matrimonial illusions. During her Instagram interaction, she also jokingly remarked on the perceived respectability of widowhood. These comments follow the recent end of her three-month relationship with racing driver Rubens Barrichello.
