Co-op Wholesale expands food-to-go services and ordering platforms
Co-op Wholesale is implementing several strategic updates to support its independent Nisa retail partners. The wholesaler aims to professionalize the ‘food to go’ and bakery sectors within Nisa stores by leveraging its scale to provide access to kitchen-quality equipment and services. Trading director Robbie Moore indicated that the company is exploring ways to scale its ‘On The Go’ concept, moving from simple thaw-and-serve options to more advanced hot food solutions through partnerships with providers like Country Choice.
Additionally, Co-op Wholesale has revamped its early ordering service for the 2027 spring and summer season. The new pre-sell platform has been redesigned for better visibility and usability across mobile, tablet, and desktop devices. The updated service includes a wider product range, featuring Co-op brand Easter bakery lines for the first time, and offers retailers the opportunity to enter a prize draw to win their entire order, up to a value of £3,000, by meeting specific spending requirements before the October 25, 2026, deadline.
