COA Tataupá launched to protect Chaco bird biodiversity
The Tataupá Bird Observers Club (COA Tataupá) has been established in the Chaco region to promote the observation, recording, and protection of local avian biodiversity. Operating within and around the Punta Rieles Natural Reserve, the club aims to strengthen the connection between the community and natural environments through biodiversity education.
A core pillar of the initiative is citizen science. Members are encouraged to record sightings on specialized platforms such as eBird and ArgentiNat, providing valuable data for researchers and conservationists regarding species presence and habitat changes.
