Coach Kim Sang-sik extends Vietnam football contract to 2027

South Korean coach Kim Sang-sik has extended his tenure with the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) through 2027. Following his appointment in May 2024 to lead both the national team and the U23 squad, his contract was extended due to successful results, including winning the ASEAN Cup 2024.

While the VFF has not officially disclosed his exact salary, domestic reports estimate his monthly earnings between 20,000 and 22,000 USD, which equates to approximately 6.2 to 6.9 billion VND annually. Additionally, following the ASEAN Cup victory, SHB Bank provided a separate bonus of 500 million VND to Kim Sang-sik and an additional 500 million VND to the coaching staff.
