Coach Paulinho Gambier of Umuarama to Leave Hospital After Thrombosis Recovery
The medical department of Umuarama's LNF team reported that head coach Paulinho Gambier is stable and responding well to treatment for deep vein thrombosis. He no longer needs intravenous access and is expected to be discharged from the hospital within the next few days.
After discharge he will continue recovery at home, observing eight days of rest without bearing weight on the affected limb. He will only resume coaching duties once cleared by physicians. The club said he remains involved with the squad, watching games and providing analysis. In a statement, the organization thanked Hospital Cemil, Clinic Pulsar, Clinic Ortotrauma and Unimed Noroeste for their care and thanked supporters for their messages.
