Coach Shin Tae‑yong Bars Lazy Players from Persija Jakarta Squad

South Korean coach Shin Tae‑yong, newly appointed at Persija Jakarta, said he will only keep players who show a strong fighting spirit, high work ethic and willingness to sacrifice for the team. He stressed that modern football demands collective effort and intense play, and that “players who think only of themselves or refuse to run hard will not get a place.”

Shin also expects all positions to contribute defensively, noting that even a striker must be ready to drop back, tackle and win the ball when the team loses possession. He believes such commitment builds solidarity and drives the entire squad to work harder on the field.
