Coachella Valley celebrates LGBTQ+ milestones and expanded Pride sponsorships

The Coachella Valley is preparing for significant LGBTQ+ celebrations, including the 10th anniversary of East Coachella Valley Pride and the upcoming 40th anniversary of Greater Palm Springs Pride.

East Coachella Valley Pride will hold a week of events starting October 20, featuring health and wellness sessions, a gathering to discuss the impact of youth-led research, and a community festival at Coachella Library Park and Garden on October 24. The initiative, supported by The LGBTQ Community Center of the Desert, originated from youth advocacy and research projects.

In Palm Springs, PS Resorts has announced it is more than doubling its sponsorship for the Greater Palm Springs Pride 40th anniversary, scheduled for November 6–8, 2026. The event is expected to draw over 200,000 attendees and generates an estimated $38 million in direct economic impact for the local hospitality and retail sectors. This increased investment comes as some national Pride celebrations face shifts in corporate sponsorship levels.
