Coaching changes occur in South American football

César Monasterio has been dismissed as the technical director of Los Andes following a difficult season. Despite a strong start to the championship, the Lomas de Zamora club finished in tenth place, failing to secure a position in the promotion playoffs for the First Division.

Monasterio managed only ten matches during his two-month tenure, recording one victory, six draws, and three losses. The club management is now searching for a replacement to lead the team in its effort to return to the First Division.

In Chile, Esteban Paredes has resigned from his position as technical director of Santiago Morning. The decision follows a period of poor performance, including an eight-match winless streak and a recent 4-1 defeat against Lota Schwager.

According to assistant coach Leonardo Monje, the coaching staff had previously considered resigning a month ago but stayed at the request of the board and players. The club currently sits one point above the relegation zone in the Second Division.
