Coahuila 1000 race expected to generate 50 million pesos economic impact
The 2026 edition of the Coahuila 1000 race will take place from 13 to 16 August, combining a rally and a tourist competition across the state of Coahuila, Mexico. The rally will start in Torreón, pass through Saltillo and conclude in Monclova, while the tourist route will run from Torreón to Cuatro Ciénegas. Organisers expect participation from 140 rally pilots and 350 tourists, with international entrants from the United States, Brazil, Venezuela and France.
A prize pool of one million pesos will be awarded, and a vehicle raffle valued at roughly 700 000 pesos will be held at the Torreón start. Officials project an economic spill‑over of about 50 million pesos and note that the event has already created 1 475 jobs in June. The race will be supported by three state‑provided helicopters and is promoted as the safest tourism and competition event in the country.
