Coahuila 1000 Rally 2026 to Finish in Monclova, Attracts International Teams
The 2026 edition of the Coahuila 1000 off‑road rally will run from August 13 to 16, with the final stage ending in Monclova, Coahuila. Organizers outlined a route that starts in Torreón, passes through Cuatro Ciénegas on the tourist leg, and concludes in Monclova for the competitive rally, which will also include a stop‑over in Saltillo.
The event expects about 150 rally competitors and roughly 400 vehicles on the tourist route, with participants from Mexico as well as Brazil, Spain and the United States. A prize pool of one million pesos and a total economic impact projected to exceed 50 million pesos were announced, alongside security measures such as three helicopters, emergency crews and real‑time geolocation tracking.
Drivers from Oaxaca, including veteran Emilio Velázquez, are finalising vehicle preparations and logistics to represent their state in the demanding desert stages, highlighting the rally’s growing profile as a premier motorsport and tourism attraction in northern Mexico.
