Coahuila allocates 365 million pesos from payroll tax to social programs

The Technical Committee of the Payroll Tax Trust 20 (Fideicomiso 20 del ISN) presented its 2025 Annual Results Report, detailing an investment of 365 million pesos into social welfare and development programs in Coahuila.

According to Executive President Juan Carlos Villarreal, the funds were directed toward priority sectors including health, education, addiction prevention, social development, environmental care, and citizen participation. The initiative aims to return resources generated by formal economic activity directly to local communities to improve living conditions.

The implementation followed two complementary paths: public programs developed with institutions and citizen interventions supported by the Fundación del Empresariado Coahuilense (FEC), led by Lucía Garza Guerra.

Key achievements highlighted include the ‘Level Up Coahuila’ program, which provided English language instruction to over 370,000 students across 1,100 schools. Additionally, the ‘Education for Women’ program supported 4,300 women in university studies with an 81% retention rate. In the health sector, over 64,400 medical consultations were provided, maintaining a 97% medicine supply rate in primary care units.
