Coahuila and Texas strengthen economic and technological ties
Officials from Coahuila and Saltillo are working to strengthen economic and technological ties with Texas. During a working tour in Austin, Coahuila Governor Manolo Jiménez Salinas met with Adriana Cruz, Executive Director of Economic Development and Tourism of Texas, to establish a joint agenda focused on energy sector investments and business promotion.
In Round Rock, Texas, Saltillo Mayor Javier Díaz González met with the Round Rock Chamber, led by CEO Jordan Robinson, and Mayor Craig Morgan. The goal is to connect Saltillo with high-growth technological ecosystems to drive investment in innovation, artificial intelligence, and advanced manufacturing, a project referred to as the ‘Saltillo Valley.’
Additionally, the Coahuila government promoted the Rodeo Saltillo 2026 in Austin to boost tourism. The delegation included economic and tourism officials aimed at leveraging shared cultural traditions and economic interests between the two regions.
