Coahuila expands Vive Libre Sin Drogas youth cultural program
The state government of Coahuila, through DIF Coahuila and the Secretaría de Cultura, is continuing the Vive Libre Sin Drogas strategy, which promotes healthy lifestyles for children and youth via art, culture, sport and positive social interaction. President‑honorary of DIF Coahuila Liliana Salinas Valdés said the initiative provides spaces for young people to develop talent, boost self‑esteem and build drug‑free futures.
After a successful municipal phase that attracted roughly 800 participants from the 38 municipalities of the state, the State Talent Contest has moved to a regional stage. About 100 contestants, selected from the municipal round, will compete in categories of Children’s Singing, Youth Singing, Children’s Dance and Youth Dance. Secretaría de Cultura Esther Quintana Salinas highlighted that art transforms lives and will continue to be used as a tool for building responsible, engaged citizens.
