Coahuila government and Arca Continental launch free water program in Ramos Arizpe
The Government of Coahuila, Arca Continental, and the Municipality of Ramos Arizpe have launched the ‘Agua para la Comunidad’ program to provide free purified water to local families. The initiative aims to support household economies and improve access to potable water in various neighborhoods and rural communities throughout the municipality.
A mobile unit equipped with a water purification plant will travel to different sectors, capable of processing up to 80,000 liters of water daily. The system utilizes water supplied by the Municipal Water and Sanitation Company (EMAS) to treat and distribute the resource. Residents participating in the program are requested to bring their own 20-liter jugs, which will undergo a rinsing process before being filled.
The program is scheduled to run for three weeks, with officials providing updates on specific locations, schedules, and points of service to ensure the itinerant service reaches both urban colonies and rural ejidos.
