Coahuila government launches food assistance program

The Coahuila state government has launched the Mejora Coahuila food program, beginning with the distribution of 40,000 milk and egg support kits in the Fovissste neighborhood of Monclova. The initiative, led by Mayor Carlos Villarreal Pérez and coordinator Jorge Alberto Piñones, aims to reduce household expenses and improve nutrition for children and senior citizens.

On a broader scale, the state strategy intends to benefit more than 512,000 families. The program relies on coordination between municipal and state authorities to deliver basic food products directly to those in need.
