Manolo Jiménez and Pablo Lemus lead Mexico's governor approval rankings
In July‑August 2026 several public opinion surveys ranked the performance of Mexico’s state governors. Coahuila’s governor Manolo Jiménez Salinas topped the Polls.mx index with 63.8 % citizen approval and led the Emotegia national performance survey with a 69.9 % rating, while also ranking first in Massive Caller and GobernArte polls. Jalisco’s governor Pablo Lemus Navarro placed second nationally in the CE Research edition 77, receiving a 70 % approval score and ranking ahead of governors of Guanajuato, Puebla and others. The CE Research ranking listed the top five male governors as Lemus (70 %), Alejandro Armenta (68 %), Samuel García (67 %), Jiménez (65 %) and Américo Villarreal (64 %). A separate Demoscopia Digital poll for July 2026 highlighted other high‑scoring leaders, including Querétaro’s Mauricio Kuri (70.3 %) and Hidalgo’s Julio Menchaca (69.1 %). The surveys assess public perception on security, health, poverty reduction, employment, fiscal management and overall governance capacity.
