Coahuila Governor Manolo Jiménez Salinas delivers 500 property deeds in Saltillo

Governor Manolo Jiménez Salinas of the Mexican state of Coahuila inaugurated the first phase of the Mejora Coahuila property‑title program by handing out 500 deeds to families in the state capital, Saltillo. The ceremony, attended by municipal mayor Javier Díaz González and officials from the state housing secretariat, marked the start of a broader effort to provide legal certainty for home ownership across the region.

The administration aims to issue more than 3,000 new titles by 2026, building on the 2,500 delivered in the previous year. Officials said an additional 1,000 deeds are ready for distribution in other municipalities. The governor emphasized that having a formal title simplifies inheritance and strengthens family security, noting, “We give legal certainty to our people over their patrimony, so they can live with peace of mind.”

The program is part of a larger social agenda that includes health, education, food assistance and infrastructure projects such as water supply, drainage, paving and electrification, all intended to improve the quality of life for Coahuila’s residents.
