Coahuila hosts inaugural Level Up English Challenge 2026

The state government of Coahuila, through the Ministry of Education and in coordination with Inspira Coahuila, held the first edition of the Level Up English Challenge 2026. The competition aimed to strengthen English language learning among elementary and secondary students by emphasizing spontaneous communication and comprehension over traditional memorization.

The state final featured 60 students representing five regions of Coahuila. The elementary category included 30 students from Saltillo, Francisco I. Madero, San Buenaventura, San Juan de Sabinas, and Piedras Negras. The secondary category included 30 students from Piedras Negras, Múzquiz, Monclova, Torreón, and Arteaga.

Participants competed through four elimination rounds and a circuit of six stations designed to test reading, writing, listening, speaking, vocabulary, and the relationship between English and the arts. The activities included riddles, audio comprehension, and sentence construction to promote creative and collaborative learning.
