Coahuila launches 87 election‑complaint booths and arrests intimidation suspects

The Special Prosecutor’s Office for Electoral Crimes in Coahuila will operate 87 temporary modules across the state on June 7, the day of the local election. The centers, staffed by 510 public officials, including prosecutors, forensic experts and police, will receive citizen complaints of electoral irregularities from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and provide a hotline (844 434 0023 ext 6870) for reporting.

Separately, the state Attorney General reported more than 15 complaints of electoral intimidation involving forged federal‑authority notices. Investigations in the Laguna and Sureste regions led to two arrest orders against men accused of posing as officials and threatening voters. Both suspects were placed in preventive detention, and further arrests are being considered as the case proceeds.
