Coahuila officials and business leaders back state security strategies

Governor Manolo Jiménez Salinas has emphasized the importance of permanent coordination between different levels of government to strengthen security and maintain peace in Coahuila. This strategy involves teamwork through the State Coordination Table for Peace and Security.

Following a recent violent confrontation on the border between Coahuila and Nuevo León, which resulted in the deaths of a state police officer and a suspected criminal, Humberto Prado, president of the Mexican Chamber of the Construction Industry (CMIC) in Monclova, expressed support for the state's security measures. Prado noted that the strategic shielding of state entrances provides tranquility for the business sector, allowing productive activities to continue without the extreme insecurity seen in other regions.

In Monclova, Mayor Carlos Villarreal continues to promote public works, with recent investments exceeding 11 million pesos in paving, water, and public spaces.
