Coahuila reports 16 schools vandalized before new school year

Authorities in Coahuila have reported that 16 schools were vandalized during the summer break ahead of the new school year starting August 31. The damage, primarily involving the theft of electrical wiring, was concentrated in the municipalities of Saltillo and Torreón, as well as the Southeast, Carbonífera, Central, and Northern regions. Despite these incidents, Education Secretary Emmanuel Garza Fishburn noted that the affected institutions represent a small fraction of the state's 3,800 basic education schools.

Additionally, the Secretary addressed the use of technology in classrooms, stating that internal regulations restrict device usage strictly to educational purposes to prevent distractions during the teaching-learning process.
