Coahuila reports strong job growth and rising tourism

Coahuila has demonstrated economic growth in both employment and tourism. According to data from the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), the state generated 10,185 new formal jobs in July, ranking third nationally for monthly job creation. Since December 2025, the state has added a total of 19,927 formal positions, placing it fourth nationally in cumulative job growth. Additionally, the National Occupation and Employment Survey (ENOE) indicates Coahuila leads the country in labor formality at 65.8 percent.

In Saltillo, tourism officials report an increase in visitors during the final week of July and the first week of August. The municipal tourism director noted a favorable trend for the summer vacation period. To maintain this momentum, the city has scheduled various events for the coming months, including an archery championship in September and several national assemblies and summits in October involving the business, livestock, and logistics sectors.
