Coahuila seeks to host National Youth Employment Fair
Deputy María del Mar Treviño Garza has presented a formal agreement to urge the Federal Secretariat of Labor and Social Welfare (STPS) and the National Employment Service (SNE) to select Coahuila as a physical venue for the National Youth Employment Fair.
The proposal aims to provide Coahuila's youth with access to formal employment opportunities, free training, and first-job programs. Treviño Garza highlighted that the state's strong industrial and manufacturing sectors—including automotive, metalworking, and advanced manufacturing—require highly skilled human capital.
Legislators noted that a significant barrier for recent graduates is the requirement for prior experience. By hosting the fair, the state hopes to facilitate direct contact between companies and graduates from universities and technical centers. Coahuila previously hosted an edition of the fair in Saltillo in August 2025, which featured 35 companies and over 1,200 vacancies.
